Cambridge Research BioVentures (CRB) is a technology investment fund established to support the early development of promising biomedical and life sciences discoveries. Research Corporation Technologies (RCT) of Tucson, Arizona has made £8 million available to the fund, to be invested exclusively in life science opportunities in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
RCT is an independent technology management company that commercializes technologies from universities and research institutions throughout the world. RCT's commercialization vehicles include licensing, partnerships, seed investments and venture development of early-stage technologies.
CRB is the first European extension of RCT's global 21st Century Venture Initiative. Through this program, a network of international partners finds and develops promising biomedical and life sciences inventions from research centers worldwide. There are now 21st Century Venture offices functioning across the USA and in Canada and Australia.
Dr Chris Keightley is Managing Director of the CRB fund and will co-ordinate the investment activities of RCT through CRB.
